History

Kingston Wireless Ltd was established in 2013 in Cambridge, UK by Simon Kingston.

Cambridge is at the heart of ‘Silicon Fen’ which is one of the most important technology centres in Europe; it is a hub for Research and Development and home to many Technology companies. Cambridge is also home to one of the world’s top universities, providing a highly skilled and innovative local workforce. Collectively, the local area provides a valuable network of resources, knowledge sharing and technical support, as well as several Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

Kingston Wireless Ltd also has a base in the South West, close to the university cities of Bath and Bristol.

Simon Kingston, CEO

Simon is the founder and Managing Director of Kingston Wireless Ltd.

Simon has spent his entire professional life working in the wireless industry, starting out as a software engineer for a satellite base-station provider before moving on to become the head of software engineering for a manufacturer of wireless anti-theft tracking systems.

More recently, Simon spent 4 years working for CSR plc (now part of Qualcomm), as a senior software engineer and team lead with responsibility for the Bluetooth baseband firmware group.
